Corning Introducing Gorilla Glass 6, How Strong it will be?

Ever heard of Corning Gorilla Glass? For smartphone watchers would have been familiar with this name. It's a kind of additional protector on the Smartphone screen to reduce the risk of damage to the Smartphone screen. Once famous for its 5th series, Corning introduced its 6th series.

Fatimah K. B., Tekno Kompas - In one year, smartphone users dropped their device average from a height of 1 meter 4 times. At least so according to a survey from Toluna firm. Manufacturers of smartphone protective glass, Corning, want to make sure the user's negligence did not incur losses.

The vision is increasingly clear on Corning Gorilla Glass 6 is claimed to be more tough than twice its predecessor. In its latest YouTube video, Corning points out that Gorilla Glass 6 is able to protect smartphones that fall from a height of 1 meter by 15 times in a row. The cornerstone of the fall was not grass or carpets, but rather a rough surface made of cement. Under normal circumstances, the smartphone will be destroyed if one time only dropped from a height of 1 meter on such a surface.

According to Vice President and General Manager of Corning Gorilla Glass, John Bayne, the risk of dropping smartphones will be more frequent in the future. The reason, people increasingly bound and can not remove the smartphone from his grip. He continued, Gorilla Glass 6 can be pinned on smartphone with futuristic design that uses 85% glass material. The back and front can be fully protected. Currently Gorilla Glass 6 is still in the testing phase by several smartphone manufacturers. Not yet clear when the date of official release, but  predicted it will be in the next few months.
